D.J. Lenny's Bio

DJ Lenny was born and raised in Collingwood in a house that was always filled with the sound of music. With early beginnings in the church choir, combined with the influences of his parents and 6 brothers and sisters, he knew early on that music was going to be an important part of his life.

Early on, Lenny developed a love for performing. Be it in church pageants, school plays or the odd time for his class mates in school. (okay..maybe more than the odd time)

After a high school career marked by several years on student council and an All Ontario Public Speaking Championship, Lenny attended and graduated from the Radio Broadcasting Program at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology in Hamilton.

While pursuing a career in Radio in his home town of Collingwood, (1989), Lenny took a second job as a disc jockey on the weekends. This eventually led to the forming of Soundscapes Professional Disc Jockeys in 1996.

The rest has been a tale of Joy and Pain, Sunshine and Rain and Lenny is grateful for it all. He takes pride in his accomplishments and loves going to work every night.

Soundscapes is currently operated out of Wasaga Beach where Lenny lives.   Len is very proud to be the father three beautiful children, Quinn, born in 2001, Kobe, born in 2003 and daughter Ava born in 2006.
